Today is Steven's birthday.
He is the most wonderful big brother any girl could ever ask for. He is patient, protecting, loving, hilarious, gentle ... the list goes on and on. He has a heart for God, a heart for his country and a heart for serving others. He is gracious and thoughtful and a wonderful husband to his sweet wife, Becky.
Mom always tell the story that he wanted a little sister so very much, and when my parents found out they were having another child, he took 'big brother classes'.

He was the cutest little boy ever ... seriously. I hope my children are this cute some day.
Steven joined the military when he was 18 and served our country in Egypt for a year and a half. It was the hardest time EVER for Mom and I. His group was in charge of guarding a sattelite - so we couldn't speak to him on a regular basis or it could potentially identify their location ... which would have been bad news - literally. I am so very proud of him.

He is currently in his 2nd year of med school - following a big dream of his. Again, I am so proud. He will be the greatest of doctors ... his patients will love him so very much.

We have always been close and I treasure time spent with him. I hope everyone is as blessed as I am to have a Steven.
So bub ... I love you dearly. You are a bright spot in my life and I cannot wait to see the plans God has for you. I know they will be great.
